Welcome to my blog on helping faculty transition from face-to-face to online teaching, including creating materials for a flipped classroom. I am excited to learn more about how to assist faculty members with different teaching styles adjust to teaching online and creating online materials. In addition, I would like to learn more about how to transfer the energy of face-to-face teaching into online teaching. When I teach, I like to move around the classroom, so thinking about sitting still while teaching, so that I stay on screen, will take some adjustment. How can that physical energy of teaching be funneled into energy for an online space within a screen (short of filming on a smartphone because then you might end up with a Blaire Witch project). I'm also open to learning more about creating community and getting students comfortable with having an online presence, so that class participation is dynamic.
